“In the Middle of the Journey of my life I came to myself in a dark wood, for the straight way was lost.”
-Dante Alghieri, Inferno
Hi, I’m Rene Cizio
I’m a solo traveler and writer. Travel is one of the most enriching things we can do. Sharing stories is my way of igniting sparks⚡ and inspiring you to create an adventure-filled story of your own.
Places that attract me include art, history, hiking, architecture and national parks.
I enjoy traveling solo. It is a great way to meet people, and you do things you might not if traveling with others. We stick to our companions when we are partnered or in a group. But when we’re alone, we’re more open and receptive. The universe senses it. We meet more interesting characters—or we become them.
Solo Female Travel Stories
I’ve been traveling solo for over 12 years and have many tips and ideas you can use.
Travel – Places I’ve been, ideas, tips and what I learned along the way. I’ve traveled alone through most of the United States and places in Mexico, Canada, Europe and others.
Experiences – I can’t resist trying challenging or unusual things. For example, have you wondered what it’s like in a cryotherapy chamber? Toyed with becoming a beekeeper or getting a shamanic cleanse?
Many stories here come from my time as a solo female traveler. I embarked on a nearly two-year road trip through the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
I’m based in Michigan, but I work remotely and still travel a large part of the year.
